There are lots of habitats!
Hello readers! Today I want to tell you about habitats. There is the rainforest habitat, the forest habitat, the desert habitat, the ocean habitat, and the arctic tundra habitat. Habitat one is the arctic tundra.

Where is the arctic tundra located, you ask? Well, it's found across northern Alaska, Canada, and Siberia. Winters are long and summers are short.

Animals that live there, like the polar bear, have adapted to live in such a freezing habitat! Walruses have blubber on them to keep them warm in the cold water. Polar bears have thick fur that block all the cold. Penguins also have fur to keep their bare skin cozy.

Now, there is the rainforest habitat. Animals like the poison dart frog and the toucan have adapted to their habitat, like the penguin and the polar bear. Some animals have a defense. It keeps them from being eaten. The poison dart frog has bright colors like light blue, to warn other animals it is poisonious.

Large rainforests are located in the Amazon River Basin. Many rainforests are located in Brazil, and others are found in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands.

Now, we have the desert. The camel can go on for days upon days without water. The camel stores fat in its hump, so it can go for months without water. The rattle snake finds shelter under bushes, rocks, cliffs, and much more. It also has a defense . The rattle snake is named the rattle snake because it has a rattle on its tail. The animal shakes that rattle to warn predators it is poisonous like the poison dart frog has bright colors.

The desert is located in the Atacama in Chile or the Namib in Africa. Many large ones are found away from coasts, which is the edge of land, much like a beach. The shore of a beach, is a way to explain it. The largest desert is the Sahara desert.

Now, there is the ocean habitat. There are more oceans then land. The world is connected by oceans. 75% of the world is covered in ocean, while much less is land.

Oceans have animals like the jellyfish, the great white shark, and the blue whale. There are lots of different animals that have not been discovered in the ocean. There are small animals, like plankton, and large animals, like the Great White.

The bowhead whale is near extinct. We have to do all we can to save it.

Oceans are located in Europe, South America, North America, Asia, Australia, and Africa. There are only six oceans in the world, and they're all connected together to make one large ocean.

Last, the forest habitat. There are tropical forests, temperate forests, and boreal forests. A lot of animals live in the forest as well.

Animals in the forest like the cardinal have adapted, like all the animals that live in all their habitats. The cardinal, as I said, live there, so do skunks and squirrels. There are also deciduous forests. There's evergreen, deciduous, and coniferous forests.

Forests are located in parts of Russia, Japan, China, Canada, Europe, and the United States. Many are located around the United States and in our home states.
