Wings of Fire: Darkness of Dragons Book Review

Image result for darkness of dragons

The books of Wings of Fire are terrific, and this one is no exception. Qibli dives headfirst into a world of terrifying madness, hard decisions, and the most frightening of all--Darkstalker.

The adventure really starts when Qibli discovers that the evil Darkstalker has cast a spell on every dragon in Pyrrhia to like him, no matter what they thought about him before. His friend Turtle enchants an earring for Qibli that protects him from all of Darkstalker's spells.

A while after that, Qibli makes the decision to visit his murderous grandfather without knowing whether he'll get killed or not. He finds his careless mother AND the missing Ostrich down in a dungeon and begs Vulture to let them out. Vulture eventually gives in, and Cobra, Ostrich and Qibli make an escape plan. Cobra knows her father's traps and manages to the Qibli, Ostrich and herself safely away from the Scorpion Den.

I would rate this book a five out of five. The introduction is a little boring, but soon you jump into the real story--which is full of adventures, suspense, and worry.

Darkness of Dragons is an exciting read. I do hope you try this book out!

Wings of Fire: The Hidden Kingdom Book Review

Wings of Fire: Book 3: The Hidden Kingdom
Wings of Fire: The Hidden Kingdom is a truly astonishing book that you should definitely read. It looks and sounds very carefully handled, and the theme is terrific.

Tui T. Sutherland has done an extreme job at handling the whole series of Wings of Fire, and the series includes The Dragonet Prophecy, The Lost Heir, The Hidden Kingdom, The Dark Secret, and The Brightest Night.

My personal favorite part is the 'battle' for the throne of the RainWings. There are five or six trials that each dragon has to take part in, for Glory and Queen Magnificent get to choose teams. A few of them are tree gliding and fruit collecting.

I would rate this book a ten out of ten because it makes me have this strange feeling, like I'm watching the act of the book. Like I am actually there. The Wings of Fire series--or at least this book--makes me feel incredible. I would recommend it for both genders, and all ages above 3-4.

Definitely read this book.

Maybe a Fox Book Review

Maybe a furry fox...
Maybe a Fox is an exciting (but sort of depressing) book!

The ancient memory of falling whiteness made her shiver. But then she saw something else, something that wasn't ancient at all. A snow family. There was a mother and a father and two daughters. And right in the middle...

                                                                                                                                       A tiny snow fox.

When Jules Sherman's sister falls into the Slip river and drowns, Jules and her dad live in a new, miserable time called After Sylvie. No more Maybe game, no more building snow families, no more rock hunting together. Jules stops going to school and her dad stops going to work. But then, a miracle happens.

Jules finds a tiny Kennen snow fox named Senna.

Senna guides Jules through the depression and brings her to the Grotto. She finds Sylvie's signature candle: her coconut-smelling candle. And her mother's old flamingo mug.

What happens? Read the book and find out!

Beowulf Book Review

Beowulf the Brave!
Beowulf is a terrific book; and I advise you to read it. It is about a young warrior who comes to fight for another kingdom (it's Middle-earth) against a monster, Grendel. Once he slays Grendel, his mother comes in rage. But Beowulf the Brave slays her as well.

Here's the sad part: A dragon awakens when one man takes a golden cup. Beowulf sucessfully defeats the beast, but the venomous fangs had gripped him. He slowly dies of his wounds, and the one man of the 14 warriors that Beowulf brought but had run away, took place of Beowulf by order.

I suppose you read this! It's amazing!

Have a read-mazing day!

Welcome To Camp Read-A-Lot!

Book tent. Awesome.
The camp today at school was so much FUN!!!

Today is National Reading Day. To celebrate that, second grade did something called Camp Read-A-Lot! All the stations were somehow related to reading, but I did have a couple requests for add-ons.

1. Camp Claymound
2. Camp Librarian

The whole day was pretty much stations, except related to reading. Not like any normal day, that's a fact!

We got to bring our sleeping bags (or blankets), slippers, a flashlight, and stuffies (stuffed animals)! It was SUPER exciting!

Why don't you try and encourage YOUR teacher to do something like this on National Reading Day? Don't be afraid to try to persuade your teacher to experience something fun... And educational!

Hope you enjoyed this post... And reading! Laterz!

Yesterday, January 31st: Super Blue Blood Moon!

Super... Blue Blood Moon!
The Super Blue Blood Moon is a rare even that hasn't been seen in over 150 years!

It occurs when the super moon (a large moon), a blue moon (the second full moon of the month), and a full lunar eclipse come together. There is another thing called a blood moon, which is a reddish color.

This moon is very rare. Sometime in January of next year, there will be a super blood moon. Not quite a Super Blue Blood moon, because the blue moon has not joined in.

The Super Blue Blood Moon is extremely exciting, and cool to watch, too! If you saw it last night, good for you! Hope you live for 150 more years so you can see it again!

I hope you enjoyed this post. Later!

A Future Class Field Trip To Seaworld!

Image result for seaworld
It's Seaworld, the amazing aquarium!
Dolphins and orcas play, people touch marine animals, and you have fun! That's what you call Seaworld!

One reason I'd like to go to Seaworld is because you can do so many different things with the marine animals there! When I visited Seaworld (not on a field trip), I didn't just get to look at the animals. I got to feel their rubbery but tough skin, and even some rough skin! When you go to places like Seaworld, you can really feel the marine animal inside you!

Another reason I'd love to go to Seaworld is becuase there's a large variety of animals there, some endangered, and it's like a once-in-a-lifetime experience to see those animals. There are killer whales, (also known as orcas) dolphins, belugas, and so much more!

Seaworld isn't just an aquarium. You don't just have fun, either. You can learn, too! So that's why I'd enjoy going to Seaworld for a field trip someday!

How I'll Be Awesome In 2018

Image result for 2018
The new year--2018!
2018 is coming soon, and I'm going to be awesome!

One way I'm going to be awesome is I'm going to make better grades and work harder in school. This matters because it's important to have good grades, or you'll start failing tests and other things. If I close my eyes, I can imagine myself getting 100s on all my papers!

Another way I'm going to be awesome is I'm going to try new things! You'll never know if you like something or not before you try it, because the only way to find out is to try! I might try new foods, even though they may look disgusting, and I could try a new sport, although it looks and sounds frightening and dangerous. I'll never forget the first time I played soccer at school!

Next year, I'll be awesome, and you can be, too!

Pax: Book Review

This is the beautiful, one and only... PAX!!!

Hello! Today I am going to do a book review on Pax. Pax is about a boy whose father is joining the military, so he has to release his pet fox, Pax, back into the wild. But then, he feels that it was wrong and goes looking for Pax.

The boy, Peter, sprains his ankle, bumps into private property, and hides in a town along the way.

Pax finds new foxes named Bristle and Runt, and also finds an old fox named Gray. They also bump into a military base, and-what do you know! The boy's father is there. At the military base, Pax and
the others run into lots of troubles.

But will Pax find his boy?

Pax is a wonderful book, and I advise you to read it! Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this post. Bye-bye!

Umbrella Summer: Book Review

Annie, don't have an umbrella summer!

Hello! Today, I will be doing a book review on Umbrella Summer. It's about a girl who is cautious about lots of things and worries a lot ever since her brother died of heart problems. Her best friend, Rebecca Young, gets angry at Annie for not caring about her dead hamster, Fuzzby. Annie has a meltdown at the Junior Sunbird Car Wash and hoses down everyone.

Mrs. Finch, Annie's new neighbor, says that it's time to close down Annie's umbrella of sadness and step into the sunlight again. But can she? Can she knock down her troubles to get into the sunshine that she needs to find again?

Umbrella Summer is a lively book and I encourage you to read it! Now, I hope you enjoyed the post. Bye bye!

A Christmas Carol: The Purpose of the 3 Christmas Ghosts

A Christmas Carol is a delightful book that's about an old man named Ebenezer Scrooge who was never very jolly, especially around Christ...
